Window #1.

It’s one of the traditions here for parents to buy their children an Advent Calendar before or on December 1st. There are 24 small windows there and you open one every day and eat the chocolate that’s in there. When you open the 24th window, it’s Christmas Eve. It’s a form of a countdown to Christmas and it’s a really nice tradition.

It’s obviously most popular with young children but I’ve always had an Advent Calendar, even now. Children hold the spirit of Christmas in their hearts and I think that keeping this tradition is a good way to satisfy my inner child.
