Easter weekend snaps.

I have been dog-sitting for the past week and a half and it’s been a lot of fun! The only downside to it is that I have much less time than I’m used to — I’m trying to spend all my free time outside with Eda because the weather has been extremely nice and warm lately and it’d be a shame not to. For that very reason I’m super late posting these photos — but I hope you’ll enjoy them anyway. 🙂

The thing is, we don’t really do Easter. We’re not religious at all and there are some local Easter traditions that we despise so we don’t actually celebrate it. But we wanted to celebrate the return of spring so we actually decorated this year!

We’re big cider fans.

Our traditional Easter tea cakes.

All done!

Making what we call the “spring stuffing”. (You’re supposed to put in nettle but we couldn’t find any anywhere so spinach had to do.)

This year, we decided to do it differently and make it into fairy cakes.

It was a success.

Lamb with some sprigs of rosemary.

The finished product.

We made a rhubarb crumble trifle.

The recipe is from the April issue of BBC Good Food. You can find it online here.

I love these egg cosies!

I was worried about how I’m going to handle a dog on my insane schedule for almost 3 weeks but I have to say it really has been amazing.SHE is amazing.

And also terribly cute, of course.
